Using the new Kemper Profiling Amplifier, you can create a profile of your very own amplifiers (or whatever you can get your hands on), and store it into memory. It's a true guitar preamplifier, with real gain and tone knobs, ready to plug into a power amp, sound system, or recording system. The real magic begins when you start shaping your tone with the Profiling Amplifier's tone controls - Kemper's high-tech wizardry makes your profiled amp respond amazingly accurately to the Profiling Amplifier's tone and gain controls. So you can take an amazing amp, capture its essence, and play it back anytime with complete gain and tone control.

THE KEMPER PROFILER™

Kemper Profiler

The KEMPER PROFILER™ is the leading-edge digital guitar amplifier and all-in-one effects processor.

Hailed as a game-changer by guitarists the world over, the PROFILER™ is the first digital guitar amp to really nail the full and dynamic sound of a guitar or bass amp. This is made possible by a radical, patented technology and concept which we call "PROFILING™".

For decades, the electric guitarist has been shackled to the tube amplifier as the only means of achieving "that sound". This magical combination is by no means ideal - the challenge to achieve a consistent sound from the practice room to the studio, and especially to the stage, continues to frustrate guitarists, just as it has since the early 1940s.

PROFILING™

With the advent of the KEMPER PROFILER™, everything has changed. For the first time in history, guitar players are free to create their most individual tones - tones that reflect the very essence of their playing style - and then capture these tones exactly into the digital domain with the unique technology provided by KEMPER™.

THE BEST AMPS IN THE WORLD

Kemper Profiler Factory Content

Feel like you don't have any tube amps worth PROFILING™? No problem!

The PROFILER™ ships with hundreds of amps and Rigs pre-installed, created by professional musicians and engineers from some of the world’s top studios. In addition, you can access and explore another couple hundreds of Rigs that come bundled in our free Rig Manager software. This premier selection of factory Rigs grants you access to the rarest and finest amps on the planet.
We are constantly refining, updating and extending our free-to-use libraries by fine-tuning the existing catalog and by adding brand new, licensed content. Our goal is to allow our users to explore the full spectrum of guitar culture and heritage, which is why we have strived to create the widest range of PROFILEs in every possible genre.

WHERE DO YOU PLAY?

RECORDING STUDIO

The PROFILER™ revolutionizes the typical workflow of a recording session. Guitarists can now move freely between projects - the PROFILEs of their guitar rigs allowing them to do overdubs or alternative takes whenever they like. You could rent a professional studio for a day or two to create the best PROFILEs of your amps, and then record in your project studio later - you'll have the exact sound of the professional studio, but with all the time in the world.
Think reamping … Imagine you're working on the final mix of an album - wouldn't it be great to reamp tracks with the exact same sound and response, without having to rebuild the entire recording setup for each song?

ON STAGE

Playing live is where the PROFILER™ rreally comes into its own - just spend a little time making PROFILEs in the studio, and you can play live with the exact same sound that you used on your blockbuster hit, only without the need for multiple amp setups on stage. You will sound better than ever before through the PA.

Since the sound of the cabinet you mic’ed in the studio is immortalized in the PROFILE, there is no need to mic a speaker cab on stage. In fact, you don't have to carry a cabinet up on stage at all! You can monitor yourself via the common stage-monitor wedge and save a lot of backache and cargo costs. Not to mention your band mates (and mixing engineer), who might just love you for leaving this very loud sound source at home!

Of course, you might still be drawn to the raw energy that a real cabinet can bring to the rehearsal room and live stage. The KEMPER PROFILER is well prepared for this as well - you can still drive a cabinet by an external power-amp, fed by the monitor outputs of the PROFILER. Or, for ultimate convenience, our 'powered' PROFILER versions are equipped with a built-in Class-D amplifier with up to 600W output. To prevent the amp sound going through two guitar cabinets in a row, the virtual cabinet can be switched off for the outputs feeding the monitor and speakers, while remaining active for the main outputs feeding the PA.

Now, as the real cabinet is only being used as your personal monitor, you can adjust your volume on stage independently, without affecting the signal volume going to front-of-house.

AT HOME

Let's face it - rocking-out at home is difficult for most of us. Analog tube amps only start to sing at levels where the only neighbors who’ll enjoy your 10min rock’n’roll extravaganza will be the ones who live half-a-mile away! The PROFILER, however, sounds great at any level.
Play it through your home stereo or through headphones. Use the dedicated ‘Space’ effect to make headphones a more pleasurable experience, and to reduce ear fatigue. Play along to your favorite music by connecting your MP3 player to the auxiliary in, and then mixing it with the amp signal.

THE LINE-UP

HEAD

KEMPER PROFILER™ Head

The PROFILER™ Head comes with classic curves. It makes a perfect silhouette on a 4x12 cabinet. Yet it's so light and compact that it can be taken onto a plane as hand-luggage. The footprint of the Head is tiny - perfect designed for the desk of your project studio, right beside your computer. The PROFILER Head is available in black and white color.

RACK

KEMPER PROFILER™ Rack

The PROFILER™ Rack has a 19" enclosure. It offers the same feature set as the PROFILER Head. The only differences are that the LED collars are restricted to the GAIN knob only, and the two controls for the MOD module have been omitted - the pay-off being that the entire device is only 3 units high.

POWERED

KEMPER PROFILER™ PowerHead

Both the Rack and the Head (black version only) are available with a built-in Class-D power amp. It produces 600 Watt @ 8 Ohm or 300 Watt @ 16 Ohm. The power amp was designed in Denmark by the renowned IcePower. It offers pristine sound quality, whether it is driving full-range speakers or classic guitar cabinets.
The Class-D technique makes for the most energy-efficient power amp solution, emitting only a minimum of heat. This reduces the need for heat-sinks, as well as minimizing the overall size and weight. Combining this power amp with the KEMPER PROFILER™ turns the PowerHead and the PowerRackinto a super smart, compact, all-in-one solution. The PowerHead weighs in at a little over 6 kg.

If required, you can switch off the built-in power amp, converting your powered PROFILER into a line-level unit for recording purposes.

SIGNAL FLOW

KEMPER PROFILER™ signal chain

The signal-chain comprises 8 effect modules in addition to the amplifier stack. Up to four effects can be placed "pre" the amp stack, and another four "post" the amp. The final modules of the effect chain are ideal for delay and reverb effects. Both delay and reverb offer "spillover", meaning the sonic tail is not cut off when you change to another Rig. Pretty much every effect offers optional "ducking", allowing you to control the effect intensity just by the dynamics of your playing.

All effects - even the whole signal flow - can be accessed by 13 dedicated buttons. Editing a Rig could not be easier! The effects are individually color-coded by LEDs, allowing you to tell at a glance what type of effect is in use, simply by activating an effect module. You can lock one or more effects by pressing the LOCK button - any locked effects will stay exactly as they are when you change to another Rig.

EFFECTS

The PROFILER™ offers a selection of some the finest effects in the world. As a company, KEMPER™ is also responsible for creating the Access Virus, one of the most successful synthesizers of all time - there can be little doubt that the Access Virus owes some of its success to the highly regarded inbuilt effects. Nearly 20 years of experience allows us to find the essence of both classic and new effects and equip them with well-conceived parameter sets. We won't overwhelm you with dozens of ineffective controls per effect algorithm - everything has a clear, intuitive and musical purpose.

Along with the standard effects, you will find algorithms rarely seen in a guitar processor - these include the Frequency Shifter, the Formant Shifter for our pitch shifter effects, an absolutely authentic rotary speaker, and even a beat scanner that allows you to control the tempo of time-based effects, such as delays, just by the rhythm of your your playing.

RETAIN CONTROL

THE LIVE INSURANCE

The PROFILER™ has been designed with live performances in mind. Performance Mode provides dedicated memory with which to create and organize complete musical scenes that correspond to your repertoire. Any tweaks you make here will stay exclusive to the Performance. There is plenty of space, allowing you to store up to 125 songs with five musical scenes each. During a concert, you can simply step from song to song according to your set-list.

PROFILER REMOTE AND MIDI FLOOR BOARD SUPPORT

The PROFILER Remote is the perfectly integrated solution to control the KEMPER PROFILER™. It connects via a single cable, no additional power cable is required.

 Learn more about Remote

Traditional MIDI based foot controllers are also supported, and pretty much every parameter can be controlled.

What is Profiling?

“Profiling” is what we have named our proprietary technology that captures the sound and feel of a specific tube amplifier. In other words, the Kemper Profiler doesn’t simply give you a list of static digital amplifier reproductions. Instead, profiling creates a vivid, living, dynamic and multi-dimensional image of your existing tube amp.

Profiling is as simple as plugging your tube amp into the Kemper Profiler and pressing ‘record.’ Just insert the Kemper Profiling amplifier into the recording chain and it will do its magic. Test signals will be sent from the Kemper Profiler Amplifier into your tube amp and recorded by the microphone in front of your cabinet.

You don’t even have to play your guitar. After less than a minute the Kemper Profiler acquires the sonic DNA of your tube amp and offers you the resulting custom profile. You can then use the A/B comparison mode to compare original tube amp sound with the profiled sound. This gives you a fast and convenient way to make final tweaks to the profile to get it exactly right.

The Stack

The Amplifier Section

The Amplifier section is the heart of the Kemper Profiler. The sound of the amplifier is based on the profile loaded into the rig. A great selection of intuitive and powerful macro parameters empowers you to perform modifications which are impossible with an traditional hardware amplifier.

Many things become possible from changing the age of the virtual hardware to the response to your play. You gain direct access to tube settings, such as the tube symmetry.

The Equalizer Section

The Kemper Profiler is equipped with a traditional bass / mid / treble / presence equalizer similar to what you already know and love from many amp heads. We found that many equalizers used in the tone stack section of more or less famous amplifiers lack of grip and blur your sound in an unnecessary fashion.

That's why we've decided to go with our own, original design which is based on a traditional tone stack but delivers what you expect from a modern pro-grade equalizer.

The Cabinet Section

The Kemper Profiler captures the cabinet as a part of a profile. Thanks to digital alchemy we can distinguish in between the cabinet and the amp head within a profile and therefore enable you to mix and match both in which ever way you like. Imagine you can exchange cabinets freely in between amps, even though those amps were combo amps before. You can even warp cabinets from "tiny as a cigarette box" to "larger than life" with one parameter.

The Effects

The Stomp Boxes

The Kemper Profiler offers 4 independent stomp effects slots which can host a full arsenal of stomp box effects including painstakingly modeled famous overdrive and distortion stomp boxes, compressor, reverb, several delays, and a beautiful rotary speaker emulation.

We’ve also created accurate models of classic retro modulation effects such as a variety of chorus, phaser and flanger pedals. All stomp effects can be edited and copied conveniently between presets. And for your overview and convenience, we use color coded LEDs indicating which type of stomp has been used per slot.

Looping In and Out External Effects

The Kemper Profiler includes an external effects loop which you can patch in anywhere among the virtual stomps boxes. The location and other details can be stored per rig. The monitor outputs also can serve as a pure analog buffer amp for re-amping.

The Master Section

The master effects section features reverb, delay and additional slots for stomp boxes and studio effects to refine your amplifier’s tone. The six knobs on the front panel offer convenient access to the most important settings. The reverb section features a dense and lively reverb algorithm which won’t mask the original signal. The delay section features several tape and stereo delay algorithms which can be synched to MIDI clock.

Get Connected

The Input Stage

Thanks to a Hi-Z input optimized for passive guitar pickups, the Kemper Profiler offers a crystal clear signal path. We use only professional-grade analogue components to ensure that your guitar tone remains unchanged.

We include a single-knob smart noise gate on the front panel that is completely transparent. It’s faster than any other noise gate we have experienced and doesn’t need an adjustment of the release time. Damping a string results in immediate silence.

The Output Stage

The Kemper Profiler features two independent main outputs which can be used in multiple ways. The mains feature a balanced studio level connection and a parallel pair or TSRs. The monitor output optionally provides the amplifier’s sound without the cabinet. This proves beneficial for musicians with an existing power amp / cabinet on stage.

Ground Lifts

In order to seamlessly integrate the Kemper Profiler into an existing studio and live sound environment, we’ve included several ground lifts to allow you to easily deal with possible hum and grounding problems.

Amp Controls

The Kemper Profiler includes the standard Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble and Presence controls that you would expect from an guitar amplifier. However, in contrast to many vintage amps, we have kept the gain control neutral, so you are able to find the sweet spot of your amp, and run this optimal sound at any gain level.

The gain control ranges over 80dB and features an automatic volume compensation for clean settings.

Now, imagine if you could change the sonic character of a profile way beyond what’s possible with the amp itself...What if you could change the sonic age of the amp, or the bite of the pick? What if you could modify the power supply of your profiled amp in order to benefit from power sagging or be larger than life? With the Kemper Profiler, you can! We allow you to dynamically adjust key aspects of your favorite amps which would otherwise be impossible or require hardware modifications. You can do anything from minor tweaks, such as making your Marshall Bluesbreaker profile sound a bit more vintage, to more radical changes such as adding some modern high gain chunk to your vintage Fender Bassman.

Control way beyond the usual

  • The Amp Definition parameter determines whether the Profile leans more towards a vintage or modern character. Increase this parameter to intensify the touch response of the virtual tubes.
  • Power Sagging: this parameter lets the tubes breathe with your playing; damped strings will have more ”chug,” and clean, picked notes will cut through better when you reduce your playing volume.
  • The Pick parameter controls the attack of your pick independently of the gain setting—even through heavy distortion. This innovative parameter lets you decouple your pick sound from the natural compression of the distorting tubes and cut right through the mix.
  • The Amp Compressor will sustain the clean guitar when you play soft, but lets the distorted sound through, unprocessed, when you revert back to normal playing volume.
  • The Cabinet Voicing parameters give you access to the guts and the character of the cabinet. You can change the size of your virtual cabinet, tune the bass resonance or control the tonal character in an creative way.

Ordering

Is this product in stock?
We try our best to have everything in stock, but sometimes items sell out faster than we can update the website, as this is a manual process. If this is the case we will call or email you and let you know if your order cannot be fulfilled, and what your options are as soon as possible. We have multiple warehouses around the country so the "in stock" and "out of stock" is an indication of if the item is able to be shipped from one of them, our store, or one of our distributors. Most of the time there is no difference in turn around depending where it is shipped from but if there are any delays we will contact you immediately. We do also ask if you plan on picking up an item, please contact us so we make sure it is in our store ready for you.

I want a certain product but I don't see it on your site, Why don't you have it!!!?
We have a HUGE store here in Newcastle (which we would love to see you in) and not every product we stock is online & vice versa, but if you don't see what you are after, give us a call or email and we will chase it down for you!

Do you price match?
Yes we do! We will do our very best to match & beat any genuine Australian quote or advertised price!
Just email us a link to the cheaper product and we will match or beat it for you (Prices valid for 48 hours) The Musos Corner Price Match option only applies when comparing identical products in the same condition, where payment is made in full by cash, eftpos or credit card. Price Match does not apply if retailers are out of stock or if Musos Corner is out of stock of the product in question. Shipping is also generally not included with the Price Match, that said we will always endeavour to pass on the very best price we possibly can.

In these instances we are not bound by the information offered in error and may not be able to honor the incorrect price, but we will explain the error to you and do everything we can to pass on the best possible deal.

Freight

How do I know if my item ships Free?
Many products we stock have free shipping to certain locations.
Please put in your address into the freight calculator and if there is no delivery charge your order may be eligible for free delivery. General exceptions include anything over 20kg or 105cm and areas as deemed remote by our delivery partners, including all of NT & WA.
Some Items on ZipMoney, ZipPay, or Studio19 Finance may not be eligable for free delivery. We will contact you if this is the case.
Some large/heavy items (over 20kg) , or items deemed not able to be delivered by our standard courier, Australia Post, may have an extra shipping charge.

Free Postage Details
Some items such as certain pedals and stomp boxes, accessories and effects may have free postage. This will go via the cheapest method. Courier/Express/Insurance/Registered Post would be extra. Please contact us for more information or check the "Free Freight" tab at the top of our website.

Express Post
Sometimes we can Express Post/Courier your items if necessary but additional charges may apply. Orders generally leave at 2:00pm daily so if you need an item ASAP, make sure it is ordered by 1pm (please call 1300 687 672) to ensure there is stock of the item and to get an estimated time of arrival. Express post is to capital / major cities only (for next day service). This service is for small items under 3KG only!

How can I track my order?
Check your email and you will have been sent a tracking number, input the number into either Fastway CouriersStartrack or Australia Post's Track & Trace engine. If you have any problems, please call us and we will call the couriers on your behalf.

Do you take international orders?
Sorry, we do not take international orders, we only sell and ship around Mainland Australia & Tasmania. For remote & Island locations please contact us.

How much is shipping?
To work out a shipping cost, please go through the cart and our system will work out a freight price to your area.
If you think there may be an error, or want to clarify the price, you are welcome to contact us and we will work out the best shipping price for you.
There may be some exceptions for heavy or large items (over 25kg), remote locations or some regional areas. We will contact you if this problem arises prior to shipping the goods.

Do you offer freight insurance?
We certainly do, and highly recommend it as Australia is a big country. Insurance / Shipping protection is available and is only 1.5% of the value of the goods.

Can I pick my goods up in store?
Of course! Unlike some stores, we do not charge for you to pick up in store. We are open 7 days for your convenience, but please give us a date and time of pick up so we can make sure your goods are ready. Orders that are left for over 1 week and not picked up will be returned to stock, unless other arrangements have been made. Valid ID will be required for picking up goods that have been paid for online or over the phone.

What if I am not home for the delivery?
IF you are not home, the driver will leave a card in your mail box so you can pick-up from the local depot/post office or arrange a re-delivery.
We have found it to be much quicker & easier to have all items sent to a business address where someone will be present.

Can I ask for the courier to leave the goods at my door?
Whilst it Is possible, we highly recommend that you do not do it. All freight warranty & insurance will be void. Only do so at your own risk, if someone steals it, Musos Corner & The freight company will not be held accountable.
If you will not be able to take the delivery, it might be worth asking a friend or neighbour to take delivery of it for you.

What if it appears my goods have been freight damaged?
Please check all items before signing for them! This is very important. Do not sign for an item that appears damaged, to sign for them means "Signed for in good working order" and subsequently is out of the couriers hands, and voids insurance. If this was not possible, there can be a 24 Hour window to try and claim insurance, please contact us & the courier immediately. This only applies to orders that have paid for Insurance & are sent via courier.

Can the courier or delivery person call me prior to delivery?
Unfortunately as often as we request this, we get denied as many times. No courier or Australia post worker will call you prior to delivery despite any bribes we may try and offer.
If you select courier we will send you a tracking number which you can use to find out an estimated time of arrival for your goods, or alternatively have it sent to a business address.

Can I have my goods delivered on the weekend or after hours?
Unfortunately this is not possible at the current point in time, however you are welcome to pickup in store late night Thursday or on weekends from our Newcastle store. Please contact us to set a pickup time.

Send to a PO BOX?
We cannot ship guitars to a PO BOX under any circumstances. Australia Post will not accept deliveries over 105cm LCM, we cannot change their policy.

Products

Do i need to set up my product?
All guitars come fully set up ready to play (after a quick tuning). Banjos will need to be set up after delivery as they cannot be shipped set up unless they are bought with a case. Some products like piano stands require some basic assembly as they are flat packed for shipping. Digitial pianos and clavinovas may require some simple assembly.

Are all products brand new?
Yes! Everything we sell, unless clearly specified, is considered brand new with full warranty. Some items, especially guitars will have been taken out of their boxes for inspection, demonstration or quality assurance. This in no way effects your warranty supplied to you by Musos Corner or Australian consumer law.

Are the items individually photographed?
All images are for illustration purposes unless otherwise specified. While we wish we could take photos of every exact item, this is not always possible and we use the pictures supplied by either the a) Australian Supplier or b) Manufacturer.
If you require a specialty photo of your instrument prior to purchase, just contact us to see if this is available.

Does my item come with Australian warranty
All items we sell come with Australian Warranty, please read our returns policy fo rmore information. Some manufactuers provide aditional warranty over the 12 months once registering the product with them. This warranty is between you and the manufactuer, but we will be happy to help should any is needed.
