The Armory Series is is an exciting realization of the Mapex hybrid shell concept. A fusion of birch and maple delivers the ultimate tonal expression, and the SONIClear™ bearing edge allows the drumhead to sit flat, bringing out the best response by optimizing the relationship between head and shell. The SONIClear™ Bearing Edge is standard on all Armory shells and allows the drumhead to sit flatter and make better contact with the shell. The result is a stronger and deeper fundamental pitch, effortless and consistent tuning, and a significantly expanded tuning range. For the serious player, the increased head to edge contact increases shell vibration, allowing the sonic nuances of the Hybrid shell to stand out.
Birch/Maple/Birch Shells. 6Ply 7.2mm Shells. SONIClear™ Floor Tom Feet. Virgin Bass Drums are standard with all configurations in this series, giving the kick sound increased body and low-end. SONIClear™ Tom Holders are included for all rack toms, lending ultimate set-up flexibility to the player.
10x8, 12x9, 16x16FT, 22x18, 14x5.5 Tomahawk Snare. The TOMAHAWK comes standard with all Armory kits. Made with a 1mm steel shell, the TOMAHAWK has penetrating accuracy and long-range projection. The focused power of its rim shot is devastating. - Black Dawn
