Electro-Voice EVOLVE 50M Portable Column PA System with 8-Channel Mixer – Black is a professional portable column PA system combining a full-range loudspeaker array, 12-inch powered subwoofer, eight-channel digital mixer, studio-quality effects and advanced DSP in one compact system. Professional Sound in a Portable Column System

The EVOLVE 50M uses eight lightweight 3.5-inch neodymium drivers arranged in a full-range column array. Proprietary waveguides provide wide 120-degree horizontal dispersion, helping deliver consistent sound throughout the performance space rather than concentrating audio directly in front of the speaker. 

Its array-formed 40-degree asymmetrical vertical coverage directs sound towards audience members at different heights. This makes the system suitable for performances, presentations, weddings, corporate events and other applications where clear, even audience coverage is required. 

A 12-inch subwoofer extends the system’s frequency range down to 37Hz and provides the low-frequency depth required for live instruments, vocals, backing tracks and DJ playback. The subwoofer is housed in a rigid 15mm plywood enclosure with a high-efficiency laminar-flow vent design for enhanced acoustic performance. 

Integrated Eight-Channel Digital Mixer

The EVOLVE 50M’s integrated eight-channel digital mixer was developed in collaboration with Dynacord and includes professional-grade preamps, flexible input routing and independent channel controls. This allows microphones, instruments, playback devices and other audio sources to be connected directly to the system without requiring a separate mixing console. 

Input options include four XLR/TRS combination mic and line inputs, two XLR/TRS combination inputs for a stereo line source, a Hi-Z instrument input, stereo RCA input, 3.5mm stereo input and wireless Bluetooth audio streaming. Independent auxiliary sends and a footswitch input provide additional flexibility for musicians and live performers. 

The mixer also provides phantom power for compatible condenser microphones, input meters, level controls and visual limiter monitoring. A master volume control supports correct gain staging across the complete system. 

Built-In Effects and QuickSmart DSP

Two integrated effects channels provide access to 30 presets, including reverb, delay, chorus and flange. Musicians can add polished vocal and instrument effects directly from the system, helping minimise the need for separate effects processors or pedals. 

Electro-Voice QuickSmart DSP provides four application presets—Music, Live, Speech and Club—along with a three-band system EQ. In Mixer mode, a seven-band graphic EQ provides more detailed control over the overall sound. 

Five user-programmable presets allow complete configurations to be stored and recalled for different venues, performers or event types. System settings can be accessed through the onboard LCD and single-knob interface or controlled wirelessly through the Electro-Voice QuickSmart Mobile app. 

QuickSmart Link System Expansion

QuickSmart Link allows two EVOLVE 50M systems to be connected using a network cable. The connection carries uncompressed digital audio and control data, doubling the available mic and line inputs while allowing both systems to be managed from one mobile device through the QuickSmart Mobile app. 

This makes it easy to expand the PA for larger bands, stereo performances or events requiring additional inputs. When fewer mixer inputs are required, an EVOLVE 50M can also be paired with a standard EVOLVE 50 system using the XLR Mix Out connection. 

Wireless Control and Bluetooth Audio

The QuickSmart Mobile app provides wireless access to the EVOLVE 50M’s mixer, effects, levels, EQ and system settings from a compatible smartphone or tablet. This allows performers or sound operators to adjust the mix while moving around the venue and hearing the system from the audience’s position. 

High-resolution, low-latency Bluetooth streaming supports wireless music playback, backing tracks and event audio. Bluetooth control and audio streaming help simplify setup while reducing the number of cables and external devices required. 

Fast Setup and Easy Transport

The column array and subwoofer connect using a symmetrical aluminium pole with internal wiring and magnetically assisted latching. This three-piece design eliminates the need for a separate speaker cable between the array and subwoofer, allowing the system to be assembled quickly. 

The lightweight composite column enclosure includes an ergonomic aluminium carry handle, while the subwoofer is protected by a durable powder-coated steel grille. An array and pole carry case is included to make transport and storage easier between performances and events.
