The Evans Pull Cord Drum Key combines the speed of motorised tuning with the precision control of a manual drum key. Designed with a retractable pulley system and dual horizontal key heads, it eliminates the need for a power drill whilst maintaining tuning accuracy. The fixed third key head allows players to dial in final tension adjustments by hand, bridging rapid head changes with meticulous ear–based tuning on the fly.

Two interchangeable horizontal heads connect to a pull–cord mechanism that rapidly applies or removes tension rod pressure across multiple lugs. A colour–coded indicator system—red ring for removal, white ring for application—provides clear operational feedback during drumhead swaps. The durable plastic housing is engineered to withstand hundreds of drumhead changes, whilst the stationary key head functions as a conventional drum key for hardware adjustment and fine tuning once heads are mounted.
