Evans B16HDD 16" HD Dry Coated Drumhead

The Evans B16HDD 16" HD Dry Coated Drumhead is a two-ply batter head designed for a controlled, focused drum sound with reduced sustain and unwanted overtones. Its coated construction combines a 5mil outer ply with a 7.5mil inner ply, balancing durability with a slightly defined attack and warmer response.

A 2mil control ring on the underside works together with precision-drilled Dry Vents around the perimeter to reduce excess resonance. Evans Level 360 Technology helps the head seat evenly on the drum shell for easier tuning and a broader usable tuning range.

Two-Ply HD Construction

The B16HDD uses an outer 5mil film layer and an inner 7.5mil layer, creating a total two-ply batter construction suited to players who need additional durability and controlled response.

Control Ring and Dry Vents

A 2mil overtone control ring is fitted to the underside of the head, while small precision-drilled vents around the perimeter allow air to escape more quickly. Together, these features shorten sustain and help suppress excessive overtones.

Coated Playing Surface

The traditional coated surface provides a warmer, more focused response than a comparable clear head while also adding durability for regular playing.
