Gretsch New Yorker (1958) Vintage Archtop Acoustic Guitar – Sunburst

The 1958 Gretsch New Yorker (Model 6050) is a genuine vintage acoustic archtop, built at Gretsch's famous Brooklyn, New York factory. With a spruce top, maple back and sides and a classic 16" non-cutaway body, it captures the sound and style of the great American archtops of the era, offering players and collectors an authentic piece of Gretsch history.

Big, Balanced Archtop Tone

The spruce top and maple body give the New Yorker a bright, punchy and well-balanced voice with strong projection. Its crisp, articulate attack makes it a natural choice for rhythm playing in jazz, swing, blues and folk, cutting through clearly whether strummed or played with a pick.

The rosewood bridge and trapeze tailpiece help deliver the woody, focused character that classic acoustic archtops are known for, with a sound that records beautifully.
