The 2010 Guild D-55 is a premium, USA-made dreadnought acoustic guitar, hand-built at Guild's New Hartford, Connecticut workshop. With a solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, and Guild's flagship appointments, it offers the power, depth and refinement that have made the D-55 one of the most respected dreadnoughts of its kind.

Rich, Powerful Dreadnought Tone
The combination of solid Sitka spruce and solid Indian rosewood delivers a deep, full bass, clear and sparkling trebles, and plenty of volume and projection. Scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing helps the top respond freely, giving the D-55 a rich, complex voice that suits everything from bold strumming to detailed fingerstyle playing.

Bone nut, saddle and bridge pins and an ebony bridge help deliver excellent sustain and clarity, making this a superb guitar for recording, performing and songwriting.

Refined Feel & Playability
The three-piece mahogany and walnut neck and ebony fingerboard give the D-55 a smooth, stable and comfortable feel. Set up with 12–53 strings and a low, comfortable action, it is easy to play while retaining the full, powerful voice a dreadnought is known for.
