The 2017 Fender Custom Shop 1963 Jaguar Journeyman Relic is a premium, hand-built recreation of one of Fender's most distinctive offset designs. Finished in Aged Ice Blue Metallic nitrocellulose lacquer with Journeyman Relic aging, it combines the look, feel and sound of a well-loved early '60s Jaguar with the craftsmanship and consistency of the Fender Custom Shop.

Classic Jaguar Tone

Two Custom Shop Vintage Jaguar single-coil pickups, fitted with their metal shielding claws to help reduce hum, deliver the bright, focused and articulate tone the Jaguar is famous for. Expect crisp, chiming cleans, snappy surf tones and plenty of bite for indie, garage, alternative and rock.

The classic Jaguar lead and rhythm circuits offer a wide range of sounds, from cutting lead tones to warmer, rounder rhythm settings, all controllable at the flick of a switch.

Played-In Feel & Playability

The rift-sawn maple neck with an early '60s "C" profile has the comfortable, broken-in feel of a guitar that has been played for years, while the round-laminated rosewood fingerboard, 9.5" radius and 22 narrow tall frets make bending and lead playing easy. The 24" scale gives the Jaguar its slinky, easy-playing feel.

The vintage-style Jaguar bridge and floating tremolo provide smooth, expressive vibrato, while the bone nut and vintage-style tuners round out a thoroughly authentic package.

With genuine Custom Shop craftsmanship, Journeyman Relic aging and a striking Aged Ice Blue Metallic finish, this '63 Jaguar is an outstanding offset for players and collectors alike.
