EMG 500K Split-Shaft Long-Shaft Tone Control – Solderless
The EMG 500K Split-Shaft Long-Shaft Tone Control is designed for passive guitar pickups and provides a solderless-ready tone control solution for compatible EMG wiring systems.
500K Tone Control for Passive Pickups
EMG’s B124 tone control is available in a 500K version for passive EMG-HZ pickups. The 500K control uses an audio taper and a green circuit board, with the tone capacitor mounted directly to the control assembly.
Split-Shaft Long-Shaft Design
This version combines a split shaft with a long-shaft configuration, making it suitable for compatible guitar installations that require additional shaft length. Retail listings for the exact 500K SPL LS Tone describe it specifically as the long-shaft, split-shaft version.
EMG Solderless Connectivity
The B124 control uses EMG’s plug-in wiring format with standard 2.54mm header spacing. EMG also provides solder pads if a traditional soldered installation is required, giving the control compatibility with both connector-based and soldered wiring approaches.
