Alvarez AP66e Artist Parlor Acoustic-Electric – Shadowburst

The Alvarez AP66e Artist Series Parlor is a compact acoustic-electric guitar featuring a solid African mahogany top with African mahogany back and sides. Its thin Shadowburst gloss finish highlights the natural character of the mahogany, while the Parlor body and short 24-inch scale provide a comfortable playing feel with a focused, articulate response.

For amplified performance, the current AP66e is equipped with an LR Baggs StagePro Bronze system incorporating an Element under-saddle pickup. Alvarez also equips the guitar with FS6 bracing, an Indian laurel fingerboard and bi-level bridge, bone nut and saddle, and chrome open-gear tuners.

Solid African Mahogany Top

The AP66e uses a solid African mahogany soundboard paired with African mahogany back and sides. Alvarez describes its mahogany-top Artist models as producing a responsive, focused voice with strong mids and clear note definition.

Compact Parlor Body

Its Parlor body measures approximately 360mm wide and uses a 24-inch / 610mm scale length. The neck joins the body at the 12th fret, contributing to the traditional proportions and comfortable feel associated with this compact body style.

LR Baggs StagePro Bronze Electronics

The current AP66e Shadowburst uses the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze, a side-mounted preamp paired with an Element under-saddle pickup. It provides a backlit tuner along with volume, bass, treble and phase controls for convenient amplified performance.

FS6 Bracing and Bone Components

Alvarez's FS6 bracing supports the solid top's responsiveness, while a bi-level Indian laurel bridge and Indian laurel fingerboard complete the playing surface. A bone nut and saddle provide durable string-contact points.
