Vic Firth SSOA Ash Soan Signature Drumsticks

The Vic Firth SSOA Ash Soan Signature Drumsticks were developed in collaboration with drummer Ash Soan for versatile rock and pop performance. Their dimensions and feel are similar to a 5A Barrel, providing a familiar balance with a focused barrel-tip response.

Crafted from premium USA hickory, the SSOA combines durability with a medium taper and wood barrel tip. Vic Firth’s DoubleGlaze lacquer finish gives the sticks a slightly tacky feel for additional grip and control during performance.

5A-Inspired Profile

The SSOA uses proportions similar to a 5A Barrel, with a 0.565-inch diameter and 16-inch length. This profile offers a versatile feel suited to both expressive and powerful playing styles.

Barrel Tip and DoubleGlaze Finish

A wood barrel tip provides clear articulation and a full sound, while the medium taper creates a balanced feel between the butt and tip. The DoubleGlaze finish adds extra grip without changing the traditional hickory-stick character.
