Yamaha BB734A Electric Bass Guitar – Fired Red

The Yamaha BB734A in Fired Red is a professional four-string electric bass from Yamaha’s BB700 Series, combining versatile active/passive electronics with a resonant alder/maple/alder body and a solid six-bolt miter neck joint. Its five-piece maple/mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard provide a stable, comfortable foundation for stage, studio and everyday playing.

Yamaha YGD Custom V7 Alnico V pickups pair a VSP7n split single-coil at the neck with a VSC7b single-coil at the bridge. A master volume, pickup balancer, three-band EQ and active/passive switch provide flexible control over a wide range of bass tones.

Alder/Maple/Alder Body Construction

The BB734A uses Yamaha’s laminated alder/maple/alder body construction. The maple centre section increases body stiffness and contributes to strong resonance, sustain and focused midrange response.

Six-Bolt Miter Neck Joint

A six-bolt miter neck joint secures the five-piece maple/mahogany neck firmly to the body. Two diagonally positioned bolts help create a tighter neck-to-body connection for efficient vibration transfer and dependable performance.

Versatile Active/Passive Electronics

YGD Custom V7 pickups with Alnico V magnets deliver a flexible combination of split-coil and single-coil bass tones. The onboard controls include master volume, pickup balance, bass, middle and treble EQ, plus an active/passive switch for quick changes between powered tone shaping and passive operation.

Vintage Plus Convertible Bridge

Yamaha’s Vintage Plus bridge features convertible stringing, brass saddles and a steel bridge plate. The design allows flexible stringing options while maintaining a solid connection between the strings and body. Lightweight open-gear tuners complement the hardware setup.

Please Note: A gig bag is included with the Yamaha BB734A.
