Gruv Gear Fump Bridge-Side Bass String Dampener – Black

The Gruv Gear Fump is a convenient bridge-side string dampener designed for 4- and 5-string electric bass guitars. It slides over the strings near the bridge to produce a shorter, more controlled note decay with a warm, vintage-inspired muted tone—without requiring continuous palm muting.

With no moving parts, the Fump can be installed or removed in seconds and inserted from either the top or bottom. When not in use, it can be clipped onto a guitar strap or music stand for convenient storage.

NOTE: Requires approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) of clear space between the bridge pickup and bridge. It works best on electric basses with little to no fingerboard or string radius. Compatibility and muting response may vary depending on the instrument’s bridge, pickup position and string setup.
