CAIG DeoxIT D5S-6 Contact Cleaner 5% Spray – 5 oz

CAIG DeoxIT D5S-6 is a fast-acting contact and connector treatment designed to clean, deoxidise, lubricate and protect metal electrical connections. The D-Series formula helps improve conductivity while reducing intermittent connections, arcing, radio-frequency interference, wear and abrasion.

The D5S-6 aerosol uses a 5% DeoxIT solution with a flushing-action solvent system, making it particularly useful for accessible connectors, contacts and other metal surfaces where dirt, grease and oxidation need to be removed. The can contains 142g / approximately 182mL, commonly sold as a 5 oz aerosol.

Cleans and Improves Electrical Contacts

DeoxIT D-Series is formulated to remove oxidation and contamination from metal contacts while leaving behind a protective treatment that improves conductivity and helps reduce connection problems.

5% Flushing-Action Formula

The D5S-6 formulation contains 5% DeoxIT active ingredient, with the balance made up of carrier solvent and propellant. Its slower-evaporating solvent provides flushing action to help remove dirt, grease and other contaminants from accessible components.

Suitable for Connectors and Metal Contacts

CAIG recommends D5S-6 for connectors, contacts and other metal surfaces. Hosa also identifies it as suitable for general contact treatment while being safe on plastics under normal use, with compatibility testing recommended for sensitive or older materials.

Please Note: D5S-6 contains a flammable carrier solvent and should not be used on energised equipment. CAIG recommends switching off and unplugging equipment before application and waiting approximately two minutes before restoring power. Test compatibility before use on sensitive materials or ageing plastics.
