Four High-Performance PreAmps

The 4x PreAmps on the Clarett Plus 4 PRE offer pristine gain, high headroom, low noise and low distortion. Exclusively designed for the Clarett+ range they offer the proprietary Air feature that switches in an analog model of Focusrite’s acclaimed classic transformer-based ISA mic pre. It allows for vocals to shine with presence and silky air. It does this by switching the impedance to 2.2k and adding two cumulative high shelves, totalling a 4dB boost in the high frequencies. The all-analogue Air with impedance switching and relay control is great for capturing vocals, drums and acoustic instruments with precise clarity.

When capturing sound through the preamps you can hear every nuance. You are able to capture the clearest and most powerful sounds with abundant headroom and low distortion. The Clarett Plus 4 PRE also features 2x JFET instrument inputs that preserve the natural tone of guitars. These are dedicated ultra-high-impedance instrument inputs featuring an extremely wide audio bandwidth. They mimic guitar amp inputs in order to preserve the natural tone of a guitar and capture its true character.

The newly designed A-D and D-A converters provide artists with an extremely wide dynamic range, low noise and low distortion. Plug-In Suite with Clarett Plus 4 PRE

Included with the Clarett Plus 4 PRE is the Red 2 & Red 3 Plug-in Suite. This suite accurately models the Focusrite Red range of both the equaliser and compressor hardware. The original Red 2 and Red 3 is still regarded as a prized fixture in professional recording studios the world over. They are recognised by producers and engineers for their exceptional clarity and versatility. So you can now have access to these revered pieces as plug-ins on any instrument or bus channel in your own mixes.
