Overview
Authentic Early-’50s Telecaster Tone
The Fender Custom Shop ’50/’51 Blackguard Telecaster Pickup Set recreates the open, lively voice of early Blackguard Telecasters. Expect punchy lows, full mids and crisp, twangy highs with vintage output and dynamic response.
Period-Correct Construction
The bridge pickup uses large-diameter, flush-mounted Alnico 3 magnets, while the neck pickup features Alnico 5 magnets. Both pickups use 43-gauge enamel-coated magnet wire, fibre bobbins, cloth-covered leads and shellac potting for authentic vintage-style performance.
