The warmth of mahogany is undeniable. Used in drum making for decades, it provides a dark, mellow tonality that is an excellent choice for a range of musical settings. Maple shells with an inner and outer ply of select African mahogany, each offers up studio-friendly resonance and musicality.

True-Pitch® Tuning Rods

True-Pitch® tuning features 5mm threads rather than the standard 12/24. There’s a thread every 0.8mm on DW True-Pitch® rods or about 20% more threads, versus a thread every 1.05mm on standard rods. The result is a more exact tuning process. Collector's Series kits feature True-Pitch® TP50 stainless steel tuning rods.

STM™ - Suspension Tom Mount

DW’s patented STM™ system allows shells maximum resonance while securing your toms in place. No washers or grommets contact the lug rod receivers, so choking is reduced, and tuning is as easy as ever.

True Hoops®

True Hoops® offer a fully rounded top edge to reduce stick ‘chop’ and enhance articulation, while a rounded outer edge maximizes shell contact for truer tuning and tone.
