DW Performance Series 18" × 22" Bass Drum – Gold Sparkle FinishPly

The DW Performance Series 18" × 22" Bass Drum delivers a warm, punchy fundamental with strong projection for live performance and studio recording. Handcrafted in DW’s California Custom Shop, its shell is constructed from eight plies of North American Hard Rock Maple using DW’s proprietary HVX grain orientation.

HVX construction arranges the maple plies in horizontal, vertical and diagonal orientations to produce a controlled low fundamental, defined attack and balanced resonance. The bass drum’s 60-degree back-cut bearing edges are designed to enhance low-frequency depth and punch.

Professional Performance Series appointments include compact Quarter Turret lugs, True-Pitch tension rods, low-mass die-cast claw hooks and telescoping bass drum spurs. Matching maple hoops complement the durable Gold Sparkle FinishPly covering, while DW drumheads by Remo complete the drum.

This product is an individual add-on bass drum, suitable for expanding or matching a DW Performance Series Gold Sparkle kit.
