Gibson Firebird Platypus Electric Guitar - Tobacco Sunburst

Experience a distinctive chapter of Gibson history with the Firebird Platypus in Tobacco Sunburst. Inspired by the rare transitional Firebird models of 1965, this solidbody electric guitar combines the iconic Reverse Firebird body design with a unique non-reverse Platypus-style headstock.

Vintage Firebird Character

Two Alnico 5 Firebird mini humbuckers deliver articulate cleans, bright definition and powerful rock tones. Independent volume and tone controls for each pickup provide flexible sound shaping.

Comfortable Modern Playability

A mahogany set neck with SlimTaper profile and bound rosewood fingerboard offers a comfortable playing experience. Its 22 medium jumbo frets, 12-inch radius and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners provide dependable performance.

Classic Styling and Hardware

The gloss nitrocellulose Tobacco Sunburst finish highlights the mahogany body, complemented by chrome hardware, a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and distinctive Firebird pickguard.
