Overview
MXR JGD2 Jail Guitar Doors Overdrive
The MXR Jail Guitar Doors Overdrive recreates the raw, gritty guitar tones associated with Wayne Kramer and the influential early recordings of MC5. Developed with Johnny Wator of Daredevil Pedals, it combines a Drive-Bi Dual Gain Distortion circuit with the MXR Micro Amp.
These two cascading gain stages are controlled by a single Drive knob. Turning it clockwise increases both volume and gain while pushing the first stage harder into the second, producing a powerful overdrive sound with thick harmonics. Custom black-and-cream Shepard Fairey artwork completes its distinctive presentation.
Please note: A 9V power adaptor is sold separately. The pedal can also be powered by one 9V battery.
