JHS 424 Gain Stage Preamp, Overdrive and Distortion Pedal

The JHS 424 Gain Stage recreates the elastic, lo-fi character of plugging directly into a vintage 424 MkI multitrack recorder. Its three-stage gain structure ranges from rubbery clean tones and high-headroom boost to saturated overdrive and overloaded fuzz textures.

Gain 1, Gain 2 and Volume controls interact to shape the pedal’s saturation and output, while Bass and Treble controls provide additional tone shaping. Standard 1/4-inch and balanced XLR outputs allow connection to an amplifier, mixer or audio interface, making the pedal equally useful on stage and in the studio.

Please note: Use a regulated 9V DC centre-negative power supply only. Do not supply more than 9 volts. A power supply is sold separately.
