Katoh España ES-06 Classical Guitar

The Katoh España ES-06 is a full-size nylon-string classical guitar designed for beginner and intermediate players looking to progress beyond an entry-level instrument. It features a solid spruce soundboard paired with rosewood back and sides, combining clear projection with a balanced low end and sweet treble response.

The ES-06 uses an okume mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, traditional 650mm scale length and 52mm nut width. A high-gloss polyurethane finish and contrasting maple purfling complete its traditional classical appearance.

Solid Spruce Soundboard

The ES-06 features a solid spruce top for responsive dynamics, clear articulation and strong projection. Katoh’s product description further refers to the soundboard as solid German spruce, while its specification table uses the broader designation Solid Spruce; for the listing specifications, I recommend retaining Katoh’s table wording to avoid over-specifying the timber.

Rosewood Back and Sides

Rosewood back and sides complement the solid spruce soundboard, supporting a full tonal response with a strong bass register and clear upper frequencies. Contrasting maple purfling adds a decorative accent to the traditional body design.

Traditional Classical Playability

A 650mm scale length and 52mm nut width provide traditional full-size classical proportions and generous string spacing for fingerstyle technique. The okume mahogany neck uses a D-profile and is paired with a rosewood fingerboard.

High-Gloss Finish

Katoh finishes the ES-06 in High Gloss PU, protecting the instrument while giving its spruce and rosewood construction a polished presentation. The model is supplied without onboard electronics and without a bag or case.

Please Note: A bag or case is not included, and this model does not feature onboard electronics.
