The LP Matador Stave Tumba Cajon combines the rounded profile of a traditional hand drum with the playing response of a cajon. Its stave-constructed mango wood shell produces deep resonance and a broad tonal range, while the tapered poplar soundboard provides full bass notes and defined slap tones.

The enlarged lower body enhances low-frequency projection, while the narrower top helps produce articulate high notes. Rounded upper edges provide a comfortable playing position, and the rear sound port reinforces the bass response while providing access for microphone placement.
