LP LP229SG Steve Gadd 8.5-Inch Mambo Cowbell

The LP LP229SG Steve Gadd Mambo Cowbell delivers a deep, dry percussion sound with a focused attack. Based on the LP Mambo Cowbell played by Steve Gadd since the 1970s, this signature model provides a distinctive rhythmic voice for drum kits, timbale setups and percussion ensembles.

Featuring an 8.5-inch body, a raised playing surface and LP's patented Vise Mount, it combines expressive tone with convenient positioning for a wide range of playing applications.

Deep and Dry Mambo Cowbell Tone

The LP229SG produces a deep pitch with dry overtones, delivering a focused, funky sound suitable for Latin music, funk and contemporary drumming. Its characteristic tone works well for rhythmic patterns, syncopated accents and percussion arrangements.

Raised Playing Surface

The sharp, raised playing surface provides convenient stick access when the cowbell is positioned alongside timbales or other percussion instruments. Its 8.5-inch design delivers the low-pitched response associated with the classic LP Mambo Cowbell.

Secure Vise Mount and Signature Design

LP's patented Vise Mount fits rods measuring 3/8 to 1/2 inch in diameter, while the included memory lock helps maintain the preferred mounting position. Steve Gadd's engraved signature distinguishes this model from the standard LP229 Mambo Cowbell.

Please Note: This is the Steve Gadd Signature LP229SG with a Vise Mount and memory lock, not the standard LP229. A mounting stand is not included.
