Fender Player II Jaguar – Rosewood Fingerboard, Birch Green

The Fender Player II Jaguar in Birch Green with a slab rosewood fingerboard combines the distinctive short-scale Jaguar platform with modern Player II updates. 

Its contoured alder body is paired with a maple Modern “C” neck and a 24-inch scale, giving the Jaguar its characteristic compact playing feel. The 9.5-inch-radius slab rosewood fingerboard has rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets for smooth fretting and comfortable bends.

Modern “C” Neck and Short 24-Inch Scale

The maple neck features Fender’s Modern “C” profile with a satin urethane finish on the back and gloss urethane on the headstock face. The slab rosewood fingerboard has a 9.5-inch radius, white dot inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets and a 1.650-inch synthetic bone nut.

The Jaguar’s 24-inch scale length is shorter than the 25.5-inch scale found on many Fender guitars, contributing to its compact feel and distinctive response.

Player Series Jaguar Pickups

The Player II Jaguar uses a Player Series Alnico 5 Jaguar single-coil at the bridge and a Player Series Alnico 2 Jaguar single-coil at the neck. A straightforward 3-position blade selector provides bridge, bridge-and-neck, or neck pickup operation, with Master Volume and Master Tone controls.

Floating Tremolo and Mustang Saddles

The hardware includes a Jaguar bridge with Mustang saddles and a vintage-style floating tremolo tailpiece with push-in tremolo arm. Fender ClassicGear tuning machines complete the setup, while the Birch Green version uses a 3-ply parchment pickguard with aged-white pickup covers and nickel/chrome hardware.
