Fender Player II Modified Active Precision Bass – Rosewood, Olympic Pearl

The Fender Player II Modified Active Precision Bass in Olympic Pearl with a rosewood fingerboard combines the familiar Precision Bass platform with expanded active electronics and upgraded modern hardware.

Its alder body is paired with a maple Modern “C” neck and 9.5-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges and 20 medium jumbo frets. A Player II Modified Precision Bass pickup is combined with a Player II Noiseless Jazz Bass bridge pickup, providing a P/J-style pickup configuration with both active and passive operation.

Modern “C” Neck with Rosewood Fingerboard

The maple neck features a satin urethane finish, Modern “C” profile and 9.5-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard. Fender specifies 20 medium jumbo frets, a 34-inch scale length, rolled fingerboard edges and a 1.625-inch TUSQ nut.

Active/Passive P/J Electronics

The bass pairs a Player II Modified Precision Bass pickup with a Player II Noiseless Jazz Bass bridge pickup. Fender's new 18-volt active preamp provides a 3-band EQ, while an active/passive toggle allows the bass to operate in passive mode as well. The passive tone control remains available for additional tonal shaping.

Controls include Master Volume, pickup pan, treble boost/cut, midrange boost/cut, bass boost/cut, active/passive tone and an active/passive mini toggle.

HiMass Bridge and Upgraded Hardware

A 4-saddle Fender HiMass bridge with chrome-plated zinc saddles provides the string anchor, complemented by tapered-shaft open-gear tuners and a TUSQ nut. The Olympic Pearl body is finished with a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard and nickel/chrome hardware.
