Pearl Primal Snare Collective PSC1465S 14" x 6.5" Steel Snare Drum

The Pearl Primal Snare Collective PSC1465S is a 14" x 6.5" steel snare drum designed for advancing and performing drummers seeking a powerful, articulate sound. Featuring a 1mm beaded chrome steel shell, 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops and a Mirror Chrome finish, it delivers the bright tonal response and projection associated with Pearl's Primal Steel series.

Its 6.5-inch shell depth provides a full, loud and articulate response, while Pearl's centre-mounted PSC Dual Lugs and dedicated snare hardware complete a practical design for rehearsals, live performances and studio recording.

1mm Beaded Chrome Steel Shell

The PSC1465S features a 1mm beaded chrome steel shell designed to produce a bright, lively and sustained snare response.

Its steel construction provides a crisp tonal bite, making the drum suitable for musical settings where a pronounced attack and clear projection are required.

Full 14" x 6.5" Sound

The 14-inch diameter and 6.5-inch depth provide a full-bodied snare response with strong projection and clear articulation.

Pearl describes the PSC1465S as offering a full, loud and articulate character, distinguishing it from the shallower 14" x 5.5" model in the same series.

2.3mm Triple-Flanged Hoops

The snare features 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops designed to provide strength, durability and tuning integrity during regular playing.

Their traditional flanged construction complements the lively response of the steel shell while providing a practical hoop design for rehearsals and performance.

Centre-Mounted PSC Dual Lugs

Pearl's PSCL55 Dual Lugs are mounted at the centre of the shell and feature an arched design that minimises contact with the shell surface.

This mounting arrangement is designed to allow the steel shell to produce its natural resonance while providing the required tensioning hardware for drumhead tuning.

Pearl Snare Hardware

The PSC1465S features Pearl's SR-01ERSH snare system and SR-01NRS strainer.

These components work with the steel shell, centre-mounted lugs and triple-flanged hoops to complete the Primal Steel snare's performance-focused design.
