Tandem Drums T-towels 12" Drum FX Muffler – Earl Grey

The Tandem Drums T-towels 12" Drum FX Muffler in Earl Grey is designed to control drum tone while retaining natural sustain and character. Placed against the drumhead, it slightly lowers pitch, reduces volume by a few decibels and smooths harsh overtones for a warmer, punchier sound inspired by classic 1960s drum recordings.

Made from Tandem’s proprietary T-suede™ synthetic suede, the T-towel can be used flat or folded to vary the amount of damping. An integrated magnetic clasp keeps the material consistently positioned when folded, while a moulded silicone tab attaches directly to a standard drum tension rod.

T-suede Synthetic Suede Material

Tandem developed its T-suede material specifically for the T-towels range. The synthetic suede provides controlled damping while allowing the drumhead to retain useful sustain and tonal character.

Flat or Folded Tone Control

The 12-inch T-towel can be laid flat for greater drumhead contact or folded for a different damping response. A built-in magnetic clasp helps keep the towel securely and consistently folded during use.

Easy Tension-Rod Attachment

A moulded silicone tab allows the T-towel to attach to a standard drum tension rod without adhesive. Tandem specifies the 12-inch version as ideal for 8–13-inch rack toms and snare drums.
