A New Tune A Day for Clarinet – Book 1 with CD

A New Tune A Day for Clarinet – Book 1 is a progressive beginner method by Ned Bennett, based on C. Paul Herfurth’s classic A Tune A Day teaching series. This revised edition introduces fundamental clarinet skills at a gradual pace, combining clear instruction with practical music exercises for developing players.

The book uses explanatory diagrams and photographs to support correct tone production, technique and posture. It also introduces music reading, instrument care and essential equipment while providing regular opportunities to apply new skills through musical examples.

Progressive Clarinet Instruction

Lessons are organised to build skills step by step, helping beginners develop comfortable playing technique and an understanding of basic musical notation. Tests throughout the book allow students to check their progress and reinforce important concepts.

Duets and Musical Exercises

The repertoire includes a varied selection of exercises, duets and rounds, giving students opportunities to develop ensemble awareness while strengthening their individual playing skills.
