Tourte VA211 Round Rubber Violin Mute

The Tourte VA211 Round Rubber Violin Mute is a compact orchestral mute designed to provide light sound reduction for violin players. Made from elastic moulded rubber, it offers quick application and removal while helping maintain a natural playing response during practice, rehearsals and performance.

Its simple two-string mounting design allows the mute to remain on the instrument when not engaged, making it convenient for passages where the player needs to quickly switch between muted and unmuted playing.

Elastic Moulded Rubber Construction

The VA211 is made from elastic moulded rubber, allowing it to flex securely around the strings while reducing unwanted rattling or contact during use. The material also makes the mute straightforward to position and remove.

Light Muting for Practice and Performance

Designed for light muting, the VA211 softens the violin's output without the heavy damping associated with dedicated practice mutes. It is suitable for chamber music, orchestral performance and personal practice.

Convenient A and D String Mounting

The mute sits on the A and D strings over the bridge when engaged. When not required, it can remain positioned on the strings for quick access during playing.

Note: This is a light orchestral-style mute rather than a heavy practice mute. Position the mute correctly over the bridge before use.
